Three Students from MMDC Win First Place in the QC StartUp Competition

Mapúa Malayan Digital College (MMDC) students Kimberly Roblas, Mark Joseph Espartero, and Nicolas Lugtu IV secured gold at the QC StartUp Competition with their start-up project named Talas.

Their goal was to create a platform to help bridge the gap between privileged and underprivileged students and provide part-time or full-time opportunities to students. They all shared how MMDC helped them prepare for the competition, from creating a comprehensive business plan to designing their website. MMDC’s mentorship program and Projects, Problems, and Cases Model got them through the challenges in their journey, which allowed them to create a platform with the right balance of advocacy and profitability.
