Sidlak Scholarship
A Scholarship for Outstanding Bacolodnon Students
An MMDC Scholarship Opportunity, Exclusive to Bacolodnons
The Sidlak Scholarship Program aims to reward the efforts of students with a good academic track record, and with active participation in civic engagements. Coined from the Hiligaynon term meaning brilliance and brightness, this grant aims to empower the youth of today through a one-year full and partial tuition discount for the Information Technology program being offered at MMDC.
Scholarship Privilege
One hundred percent (100%) or fifty percent (50%) discount on tuition fees only.
(Miscellaneous fees and other fees are not covered by the scholarship such as if the grantee acquires a chromebook or laptop.)
Scholarship Eligibility
  • Residing within Bacolod City or nearby cities in close proximity to the MMDC Bacolod Learning Hub in Ayala Malls Capitol Central
  • Must have a GWA of 90%.
  • Must have evidence of various projects, groups, activities, processes, outputs and systems built by the applicant including but not limited to DIY home projects, work groups, clubs, community projects, PBL (project-based learning), activities and/or creative works that were designed, initiated and/or developed by the applicant.
  • Must have good character.
The Scholarship Agreement
In order for the scholar to maintain his or her eligibility, he or she should agree to the following conditions:
  • The scholar should maintain a TWA (Term Weighted Average) of 2.50 per term or better to continue with the scholarship for the year.
  • The scholar should not have any failing grade on any subject.
  • The scholar should not have been subject to any disciplinary action by the school.

  • Accomplished MMDC Sidlak Scholarship Application Form
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • Recommendation Letter from Principal or Homeroom Adviser
  • Parents or Guardian Income Tax Return
  • Digital copy of 1.5" x 1.5" I.D Photo
Scholarship Process

Fill out the application form. Click here to apply.

Submit the following through email at scholarships @mmdc.mcl.edu.ph with SUBJECT HEADER: CE Application, Last name, First name

  • Accomplished MMDC Sidlak Scholarship Application Form
  • Certificate of Good Moral Character
  • Recommendation Letter from Principal or Homeroom Adviser
  • Parents or Guardian Income Tax Return
  • Digital copy of 1.5" x 1.5" I.D Photo

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email and will undergo an interview with the MMDC Scholarship Committee.

Scholarship deliberation is held a week after the end of the application period. Successful applicants will receive a notification via email from the MMDC Center for Scholarships if you have been qualified for the scholarship.
