MMDC in 2026: Moving Forward After a Defining Year of Growth and Connection
January 22, 2026

Mapúa Malayan Digital College (MMDC) looks back on a year defined by growth, purpose, and impact, one that strengthened our commitment to accessible, industry-relevant education for working students and professionals across the country. From launching new certification programs and expanding partnerships to listening to student feedback and improving community engagement, this year reinforced what MMDC stands for: real-world learning, supportive mentorship, and creating more opportunities.

Here’s a recap of MMDC’s significant highlights for 2025:

Globally Recognized Certification Programs

MMDC’s certification programs created new opportunities for working students and professionals who are ready to gain job-ready skills aligned with current industry demands and step up their careers. The globally recognized programs strengthened MMDC’s mission of bridging education and employment, giving learners credentials that they can immediately apply in the workplace. Programs include Virtual Assistance, Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce, Meta Social Media Marketing, Adobe Content Creator, IBM Data Analytics, AI Fundamentals, and English Language Training.

The launch affirmed a growing demand for flexible, skills-based learning that complements both fresh graduates and professionals looking to upskill.

Listening to Learners with the 2025 Student Survey

In 2025, MMDC placed strong emphasis on listening to its learners, and the results of the Student Satisfaction Survey validated MMDC’s learner-centered approach. According to the survey, 91% of learners are satisfied with their MMDC experience and consistently described MMDC as a supportive, hands-on, and industry-relevant learning environment.

97% gave positive feedback about their mentors and were praised for their clarity, patience, and ability to translate theory into real-world practice. In fact, 95% of learners agreed that the Projects, Problems and Cases (PPC) model helped them learn by doing and applying real skills in the actual workplace. From project charters and data dashboards to business cases and communication strategies, students shared how lessons were directly connected to real-world scenarios.

MMDC is also happy to share that more than 1,500 learners received financial support this year and 183 employers opened doors to MMDC students giving them the opportunity and the space to experience real world application of what they are able to learn in their course.

Students repeatedly emphasized that MMDC’s online delivery felt personal and that quality mentorship and developing meaningful connections are possible even in remote learning. This feedback reaffirmed MMDC’s promise: education that fits into real lives, without compromising depth or quality.

Step Up sa Pangarap and National Working Students Day

MMDC’s commitment to working students was further highlighted through the celebration of National Working Students Day on March 21, a celebration that is integrated into the Step Up sa Pangarap initiative. The whole-day event recognized the resilience, discipline, and determination of students who balance education with work and family responsibilities, an audience MMDC continues to champion.

The 2 in-person events held in Makati and Bacolod had more than 160 participants, 12 employer partners and were covered by multiple media outlets that reached nationwide exposure via TV, radio and social media. The event also provided a space for the in-person Hustle & Thrive ceremony which also included networking and inspirational talks..

The 1st HR Summit in Negros

Another major milestone was the 1st HR Summit held in Negros Occidental, Bacolod. MMDC’s HR Summit brought together over 100 industry leaders, HR practitioners, and educators, with over 40 companies represented.

The summit served as a platform for dialogue on workforce readiness, skills alignment, and collaboration between education and industry, reinforcing MMDC’s role as a connector between students and employers, not just a provider of academic programs.

Expanding Opportunities Through Partnerships

In 2025, MMDC expanded its network of industry partners, strengthening pathways for enrollment, internships, and employment. New and continuing partners included Concentrix, 7-Eleven, GCash, iQor, Panasiatic Call Centers, Inc., Teleperformance, ServiceFirst, DAN’S PH, the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), and Metro Pacific Fresh Farms just to name a few.

These partnerships create opportunities for students, ensuring that education leads to meaningful career outcomes and that industries remain closely involved in shaping relevant programs.

Reaching More Learners Through Scholarships

For School Year 2025–2026, MMDC served 1,746 scholars through various scholarship and discount programs, including full and partial scholarships, local government partnerships, and the Asenso discount initiative. This wide reach reflects MMDC’s continued effort to remove financial barriers and make quality education more accessible to all Filipinos.

What’s Next for MMDC?

In 2026, the focus remains on growth with purpose. New business and technology programs are set to launch, building on strong industry alignment and student feedback. All of these offerings aim to further prepare students for evolving roles in a rapidly changing workforce.

Continuous innovation for a better learning experience

One of MMDC’s primary initiatives for the new year is to further improve the academic experience for all learners with the Professor + IT Coach (ITC) Model, an enhanced learning support structure that brings faster feedback, more guidance, and a more consistent academic experience. An IT Coach (ITC) is an industry practitioner trained in MMDC standards who provides timely, rubric-based assessment and feedback while working closely with the professor. An MMDC professor leads the course and learning outcomes, while the ITC ensures consistent support and faster, clearer feedback throughout the term. Together, they form a learning team designed to give learners stronger guidance and a smoother learning experience.

2025 was not just a year of achievements, it was a year that established and strengthened foundations. With validated learner satisfaction, expanded partnerships, growing community engagement, and new programs on the horizon, MMDC enters the next chapter with clarity and confidence. The momentum continues and the best is yet to come.
