Most Filipinos with an unfinished degree are not waiting because they want to. They are waiting because life keeps getting in the way — the bills, the job, the family, and everything in between. The plan to go back to school is always there, but "the right time" keeps getting pushed to next time.
The problem is that next year almost never gets easier on its own. And now, there is a new pressure on top of everything else: the jobs themselves are changing. AI is already reshaping what employers look for, and the Filipinos who will stay ahead are the ones who act now, not later.
Mapúa Malayan Digital College (MMDC) is built for Filipinos who have been waiting for the right time to continue their education but know that life cannot always be put on hold. Enrollment for the August term is now open, and learners can avail of financial assistance as a head start.
How Much Is the Tuition Fee to Enroll at MMDC?
MMDC makes it possible to start college for as low as ₱2,925, including a 9-unit (3 subjects) load with a 3-month installment plan and a 20% down payment. Students enrolling at 9 units or fewer also receive a 40% discount on miscellaneous fees.
For students paying in full, the per-unit rate is ₱1,335, while those on the 3-month installment plan (with 20% down payment), the per-unit rate is ₱1,435.
Whichever payment option you choose, MMDC recommends starting with a 9-unit load — three subjects per term — designed to be manageable alongside a full-time job. With the applicable rate and an ₱8,605 miscellaneous fee, your estimated total for a 9-unit term is approximately ₱20,610 (full payment) or ₱21,520 (installment).

Students can increase their unit load in later terms once they have settled into the rhythm of studying while working. The 9-unit entry point is recommended to help working students begin their learning journey, giving them flexibility and time to adjust.
Financial Assistance Available for Term 1 2026
MMDC's financial assistance is not a separate process you apply to after enrollment. It is built into how enrollment works. Here is what is available:
Asenso Scholarship: Upon completing the admissions process, students may qualify for the Asenso Scholarship — a 20% tuition discount available to the first 500 enrollees. No separate application is required. Combined with the Needs-Based Scholarship (evaluated at application), total savings can reach up to 36%, or as much as ₱21,000 for the full academic year. The Asenso Scholarship (20% tuition discount) may also be stacked on top of the NextGen Discount (30%), allowing eligible students to benefit from both.
NextGen Discount Program: Solo parents, children of solo parents, and working Filipinos between the ages of 18 and 25 are eligible for a 30% tuition discount for one term. This discount is limited to the first 10 qualified applicants.
Family Scholarship Program: When immediate family members enroll together in the same academic term, they benefit from tiered tuition discounts — going up to 60% for as many as four family members.
Gadget Scholarship: For students who need a laptop or portable Wi-Fi to study online, this scholarship provides the device so it does not become a barrier to starting.
Abanse Negrense Scholarship: This program is exclusively offered to students from Negros Occidental (except Bacolod City) with a partial scholarship for a three years and six months college education. Each scholar will receive ₱15,000 per term for the duration of their three years and six months stay at MMDC, which will be applied toward matriculation fees.
More Programs: Additional assistance is available through City Scholarships, the Continuing Education Scholarship, and the YGC-Ayala Employee Discount Program.
Scholarships reduce the total amount you owe. Payment plans change when you pay. Both can be used together.
Study Now, Pay Later
For students who may need more financial flexibility, MMDC offers payment solutions that allow them to start their education without paying the full tuition upfront. Through partnerships with GCash (GGives), Bukas, Maya, and RCBC, students can enroll and attend classes while paying their tuition in smaller monthly payments over 6 to 18 months. Study Now, Pay Later options are available here. Students can also use the Financial Wellness Checker to better understand their financial readiness and explore options that can help support their MMDC journey.
Why a Tech or Business Degree Is the Right Degree Right Now
AI is no longer a future trend. It is now part of everyday work across industries, as shown in the World Economic Forum Future of Jobs Report 2025. Whether you are aiming for a promotion, a career shift, or a stronger footing in your current role, a Mapúan degree in business or technology gives you the foundation to move forward in today's AI-driven career landscape.
MMDC offers two CHED-recognized degree programs for Term 1 2026:
BS Business Administration (BSBA) specializations:
BS Information Technology (BSIT) specializations:
All MMDC specializations are delivered through the Problems, Projects, and Cases (PPC) learning model. Designed to mirror the realities of today's workplace, PPC enables students to learn through projects, problem-solving, and real-world case studies rather than traditional exams. By applying concepts to authentic business and technology challenges, students build the skills, experience, and confidence that employers value in the workforce.
Layered on top of PPC is MMDC's collaboration with Arizona State University, which is ranked the number one innovation university in the United States for eleven consecutive years (U.S. News and World Report, 2016–2026). MMDC students gain access to ASU academic content, microcredentials, and masterclasses — all integrated into the degree, fully online.
